Welcome to the USS Equitas

Equitas est fundamentum iustitiae
Equity is the foundation of justice.
The year is 2390.
The galaxy trembles in the shadow of catastrophe. Two years ago, the Romulan star ignited in a cataclysmic supernova, scattering empires and shattering the balance of power across the Alpha and Beta quadrants. The great superpowers have crumbled, their fleets broken, their voices silenced.
Starfleet, scarred by betrayal and the destruction of Mars shipyards, struggles to rise from the ashes of its darkest hour. Synthetic research remains forbidden, a wound that refuses to heal, and the Federation teeters between hope and despair.
But from the silence of the shipyards, a new vessel emerges. The USS Equitas—freshly forged and gleaming with promise—now sails under the command of Commander Zaiden Isaac, a leader untested yet resolute. His mission is not conquest, but compassion: to bring aid to the forgotten, to weave bonds of culture and understanding, and to reclaim the wonder of exploration among the stars.
The journey begins.
And history will remember those who dare to join it.

Mission: The Last Space Station on the Left

After getting settled into quarters, Eva allowed herself to be nosey and wander. Apparently she was the first department head aboard, so there weren't many people to meet aside from the skeleton crew and the command team. For a ship with few officers aboard, the CO and XO were surprisingly difficult to locate. Eva could have used the ship computer, but where was the fun in that?
Her wandering eventually placed Eva on the bridge. The turbolift door slid open and she stepped out, absorbing the layout and recognising that she was the only one here. "I don't think I've…

[Deck 1 - Ready Room]
Zaiden had implemented an open-door policy: anyone who needed something, whether it was just to talk about something mundane or if it was an actual work-related request, he had made a promise that he would be available for it.
"Commander?" Came the quiet voice of the yeoman he was beginning to trust as his assistant. He'd recently learned her name was Laura and that it was her first time aboard a ship, so she was anxious to not let him down, which Zaiden had to assure and reassure her she wouldn't.
"Yes, Laura?" Zaiden…

As the turbolift whizzed T'Maas across the spine of the Equitas, she consulted her padd, concentrating on it to the exclusion of almost all else. She had just been in Main Engineering checking the final preparations with the Chief Engineer and Corps of Engineering personnel. Though they had assured her that everything was in hand, she was of course checking the reports they had been filing.
They were completely satisfactory. Naturally.
She refused to admit to herself as she tucked an errant strand of hair behind her ear that all this was to distract herself. A knot of anxiety…

Zaiden took a good look around the kitchen as he entered it and the smell of a hearty meal being prepared hit his senses. "I am a fan of both options, so if I may, I'll leave it to the chef to decide what gets served." He was thoroughly impressed by the sheer size of the windows and the views they afforded, especially to one as peaceful as this, and stood by them.
"Is there anything I can assist you with?" Zaiden asked, not wanting to feel useless while he waited. Back home, he and Helena shared the duties of…

Vulcan.
Vulcan never changed, T’Maas mused as she walked the high desert. Nothing but the hot midday wind stirred as she paced Vulcan’s red sands. Though she knew that she should shelter from Nevasa’s harsh power, the Vulcan also knew her goal was close to hand. Raising a hand to ward off the merciless star that both gave and took life from her people, she peered to the horizon.
Hazy heat lines wrinkled the air, blurring her destination, but the rock promontory ahead of her was unmistakable. Adjusting the head wrap that covered her hair and head to sit…
